Stationary is one of my favorite elements of a celebration- specifically weddings. It is the introduction to the festivities and also the artful narrator throughout the event. The personal touches that invitations add to the guest’s experience is what sets your event apart from all the rest. Right now I am loving Basic Invite. We have been captivated with their abundant variety of styles, textures and colors available for any custom wedding invitation.
As I gear up to begin the busy fall wedding season, I start to prepare for next years’ spring and fall weddings. In that preparation comes finding the perfect stationary for each unique client. I begin to curate the guest’s experience from the time they receive their special envelope in the mail. You’ve heard before that you only get once shot at a first impression, right? Well your save-the-dates and wedding invitations are that first impression.
For my fall 2018 weddings, I begin to put color pallets together and start playing with different textures and fabrics. In every detail I try to incorporate all five senses- sight, touch, smell and yes even taste and hearing when appropriate! I love this suite by @basicinvite. The beautiful copper ribbon would be hand-tied around each envelope, adding a luxurious soft feel and anticipation to getting to what is inside. I would place the berries at the center of the bow for extra character and beauty.
So what’s so different about these you may ask? I know! I did too! Well… Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options! This is exciting to me! Sometimes the chosen wedding color is in between teal and turquoise- who knew there was a difference right?! I love the option to have that exact color on all of the wedding stationary. I love personalization down to the tiniest detail.
As a planner, I also love having mock-ups of everything. No wrong orders! Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of my actual invitation so I can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before I ever have to place my final order. I like to share this information because I know many of my brides enjoy being involved and taking over some creativity tasks. This is a great one!
I could stop now, but I just want to share this gorgeous clear invitation for a summer wedding in Boston, MA. This is the perfect mix of modern rustic elegance. The clear invitation over the wood plank, surrounded by creme roses and gols accents. I absolutely LOVE this fresh, charm feel. The possibilities are truly endless.
